The history begins in 1947 in a small workshop near the National Opera of Paris when Rose Repetto creates her first ballet shoes .

The following years will bring Madame Repetto immediate success with the creation of the 'Cendrillon' ballerina dedicated to Brigitte Bardot.  For BB, this ballerina will always be a part of her success in Vadim's film 'Et Dieu créa la femme'. In 1959, with the opening of the first boutique at 22 Rue de la Paix in Paris, Repetto becomes a reference for dancing shoes, appreciated by the world's prima ballerinas: Bejart, Noureev, Barychnikov, Carolyn Carlson, the Kirov at the 'Folies Bergères'. Up to nowadays the brand maintained the highest skills in making the pointe shoes and ballerinas, using the famous 'stitch and return' method.

Starting with 2000, Repetto involves in partnerships with famous designers such as Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto, Karl Lagerfeld and Comme des Garçons. Every single piece is put together in a unique and traditional way inspired by craftman's aspirations.

Repetto models recall the ballet’s pureness, discipline, lightness and grace.
